TVXQ! Sets Record on Oricon Charts

This year, TVXQ! sets a record on Japanese Oricon Weekly Charts for the most number of "First Place" rankings this year. The group's 24th single, "MIROTIC," was released in Japan on October 15th and on the day of its release, the album took first place on Oricon's Single and Weekly Charts. MIROTIC is TVXQ!'s fourth single to rank first on the Oricon Weekly Charts, following "Purple Line" (January release), "Beautiful You" (April release), and "How Did I End Up Loving You" (July release). "This is the first time anyone has ranked first on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart four times in one year," said a TVXQ! representative from SM Entertainment agency. He added, "This has never happened with a Japanese singer, let alone a group from overseas, and it proves that TVXQ! has become a top group in Japan, as well." MIROTIC is also the title track of TVXQ!'s fourth album in Korea, where the song has also proved to be successful. First BoA and now Dong Bang Shin Ki. Netizen favorite and funnyman Nate Jackson brought his crew from fuse.tv to the Asia Song Festival where he mingled with Cassiopeians. It was a first-hand account of the guinness-known crazies and even singing with them in a noraebang.

With his credibility as a music events host, Nate Jackson also got the golden opportunity of interviewing the Dong Bang boys themselves. This has been a hot topic among Cassies the world over as this is big news, bigger than the Wonder Girls going on Perez Hilton. With Nate Jackson and fuse.tv’s influence, Dong Bang Shin Ki is about to be seen by hordes of music junkies in the US (where it’s based) and everywhere else that hasn’t come in contact with the DBSK virus.

The video in question is reportedly to be released soon, but in the meantime fuse.tv has posted up some behind the scenes photos as we await the full footage.

The meeting between Jun Jihyun and Yunho has grabbed the attention of Netizens

Uknow Yunho, the leader of TVXQ had a chance to meet Jun Jihyun during the recording of Season 3 of the KBS2 TV show Happy Together and it drew attention.

Early this year in Happy Together (t/n: remember they appeared there before) Yunho gave his confession to Jun Jihyun and perhaps maybe they could have a meal together. (t/n: there's some stuff here but idk how to translate them XD)

JaeJoong was a gum seller during his youth?

Dong Bang Shin Ki member, Young Woong JaeJoong has revealed that he was a gum seller when he was young.

Young Woong JaeJoong has captured the hearts of his fans with his prince-like looks. However, during his appearance on KBS 2TV’s Happy Together Season 3, he revealed for the first time that he was once a gum seller when he was young.

When he was 16, JaeJoong decided to go to Seoul to fulfil his dream of becoming a singer. JaeJoong, who lived a hard life while he was at Seoul, said “The owner of the house I was staying in said ‘If you can’t produce the rent by tomorrow, I’ll evict you from your room.”

In order to come up with the 150 000 won needed to pay for the rent, he started working, taking up various jobs including being one of 100 000 soldiers for the movie, Taegeukgi Hwinallimyeo (Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War) and selling gum, JaeJoong explained, to the great surprise of the audience and his fellow guests alike.

When JaeJoong was selling gum, due to his normal appearance (as in he didn’t have the appearance of someone who would usually do that type of work), admitted that “People would usually mistake and think that I had stolen the gum, which made it hard for me.” JaeJoong, who would walk around all day trying to sell the gum also said “Out of desperation, I went into a supermarket, where the woman working there took pity on me and said ‘I’ll buy whatever gum you have left, so don’t do that type of work anymore.’ before giving me 150 000 won.”

From this, JaeJoong continued, “Through this event, I got even more determined in my attempt to become a singer.”. JaeJoong also showed his thankfulness towards the woman he met in the supermarket during the broadcast.

Happy Together Season 3 will be broadcast on the 9th of October, 11:05 pm KST.

‘Tiny Pianist’ Yoo Yeeun and Dong Bang ShinKi have gotten together on stage.

On the night broadcast SBS’s Kim Jungeun’s Chocolate on the 10th, Blind pianist Yoo Yeeun played ‘You Raise me Up’ while Dong Bang Shin Ki, who returned with their 4th album ‘주문-미로틱(MIROTIC)’ in a year and 7 months, accompanied her with their beautiful voices.

In case you don’t know who Yoo Yeeun is, she made an apperance on an episode of ‘Star King’ last year because of the fact that she couldn’t see. She got recognized as a piano prodigy and the members of Super Junior Trot were so touched that they surprised her with a piano as a gift.

Super Junior Happy, which consists of Eeteuk, Kangin, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, and Eunhyuk were also invited as special guests.

After their performance the host, Kim Jungeun sang ‘Na Hangsang Geudaerul’ while Yeeun played.

Yoo Yeeun created a lot of laughter amongst the guests by saying that Dong Bang Shinki’s singing was 80 points while Kim Jungeun’s was 110 points.

The Idol star group DBSK’s appearance on ‘Kim Jungeun’s Chocolate’ will be aired the October 1st at 12:25PM.

The group, who have just recently released their 4th album, 주문-미로틱(MIROTIC) featured and performed on Kim Jung Eun's Chocolate on the 27th of September.

The Dong Bang Shin Ki members shared many stories with MC Kim Jung Eun and their fans in the audience, making gestures towards the fans when responding to the MC's questions.

While the members were sharing stories about how they have lived together since their debut, U-Know Yunho said "Since we all live together, our underwear always gets mixed up. Because of this, one of the members started to label his underwear."

"And that member was U-Know Yunho." Young Woong JaeJoong revealed, making Yunho feel awkward. (Puhahahaha~ YunJae <3) "Recently, our manager's underwear has also gotten mixed up with our own. If our manager realises that we're wearing his underwear and he gives it to us, we're happy - but our underwear keeps disappearing." the Dong Bang boys revealed, making their fans and the audience roll over with laughter.

When Kim Jung Eun asked who the dirtiest DBSK member was, DBSK replied "We all clean oftenly. But when we arrived in Japan, Junsu didn't unpack the suitcase with his clothes in it. When compared to the rest of the members, Junsu is the laziest." Yoochun also added, "Junsu planned on not unpacking his clothes at all, until we would have to leave."

[NEWS] Cassiopiea Writes Their Own Album

Cassiopeia Created their own Album!

TVXQ fans, Cassiopeia gave their own blessings to TVXQ and their 4th Album, wishing them success with songs of their own, their own fan album.

In hopes of filling in the gaps for when TVXQ had been absent from Korea, fans started ‘Cassiopeia Sensation Project’. It’s a project of songs that make up for the year TVXQ had been away in Japan.

The album will be released in October. ‘Return to Memory’, ‘Boundless’, ‘Memory’, and ‘One More’ are few of the song titles. Many fans have composed their own music and written lyrics for the album. They have now completed 11 pieces. A lot of fans to be names as they produced everything by themselves, including raising money to pay for the cost of production.

TVXQ’s company SM Entertainment said “H.O.T. fans have done something similar in the past, it’s very hard and difficult to do, we understand how much dedication they put in. As TVXQ releases their 4th album, fans have so kindly done the same to support them, we’re really very grateful”.

Networks, a joint venture in Japan, will be making a Tele Cinema and first episode is Postman of Heaven. It is a joint drama project of Japan and South Korea. Jaejoong had been interviewed on the 24th (of September? It says something about SM EverySing karaoke). Jaejoong is surprised to being casted for the role. He has read the script and took the role, and said he will work hard for it.

"Postman of Heaven" is going to be produced by 'I'm Sorry I Love You' Lee Hyungmin PD and Writer Kitagawa Eriko who wrote "One Million Stars Falling from the Sky" staring Takuya Kimura. The drama is about a messenger who connects the Afterlife with the present world. He will be a mailman who is in charge of sending the death of a friend or family member (of a person) up to heaven. There will be a DVD of this mini-series.

Yunho mentions that Jaejoong was the first out of them to make a solo shot at career, and that in the larger framework they are still DBSK as a whole even when they are doing solo.

The drama is scheduled to be filmed as early as the 10th (October?).

[NEWS] MBC vs SM Feud Over, TVXQ To Appear On MBC

September 26, 2008

MBC and SM Entertainment have dramatically reconciled. On the 26th at the MBC Dreamcenter in Ilsan, the PD of the show “Come To Play” revealed that the conflict between MBC and SM Entertainment is over and therefore Dong Bang Shin Gi will be appearing on Come To Play.”

Because of the conflict, extreme measures were taken where SM Entertainment singers were prohibited from appearing or participating on any of the network’s programs. The PD stated, “The argument between MBC and SM was a result of a misunderstanding” and also, “SM cleared the misunderstanding and discussed Dong Bang Shin Gi’s appearance. And in the future, SM artists will be able to appear and perform on music programs.”Futhermore, Dong Bang Shin Gi’s ‘Come To Play’ segment recording will take place on October 1st.

that's so good to hear :D It's not only TVXQ that was affected by this, i think Super Junior was too... i'm glad it's over. I mean, well... accept it. These networks NEED and WANT our boys on their shows if they want high ratings because i for one know that Cassiopeias will just swarm on their airwaves if TVXQ is on TV.

Jaejoong has been "casted" for a joint Korean-Japanese Drama titled "Heaven's Postman". The director for this drama is Lee Hyung Min (이형민) who's other works include MISA and Sorry I Love You. He would also be working with another Japanese director who is unnamed as of now.

This drama has been previously announced sometime this June but information regarding Jaejoong being casted wasn't disclosed and this drama (or telecinema as the news call it) is due 2009.

And him being "casted" as a character doesn't mean he actually already agreed. He was just chosen for the part and it's up to him and his management to either agree or disagree with the proposal.
